About NE Tech Summit

The NE TECH SUMMIT 2025 is organized by NIDC (Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation) in collaboration with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) and supported by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Govt of Nagaland and the Naga Tech Entrepreneurs community.

The collective vision to foster the growth of Nagaland and North-East India's startup ecosystem by providing a much need platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders and government officials to collaborate, exchange ideas, and drive innovation.

Event Focus

Creating an enabling environment for startups, providing access to resources, mentoring, networking opportunities, and funding avenues to foster Entrepreneurship by encouraging and inspiring the entrepreneurial spirit among the North-East Indian youths, highlighting the potential for start-ups to drive economic growth, job creation, and innovation. The event will aim to attract value startups from all North-East states including those selected under STPI programs such as octaNE.

Network

To connect the start-ups with potential investors, venture capitalists, and angel investors, creating opportunities for funding, partnerships, and collaborations. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to industry experts and potential investors from the rest of the country to directly engage and tap on North-East India's vast opportunities.

Engage

To engage government officials and policymakers to discuss policies, regulations, and initiatives that can nurture the start-up ecosystem in NE India, ensuring a conducive environment for entrepreneurial growth.

Inspire

The idea is to inspire, acknowledge, encourage and foster innovative ideas from school and colleges in North-East to demonstrate their innovative ideas to the mentors, investors, media, judges and visitors to the event as well so that these innovators receive guidance, support and funding to building, scale and impact with their ideas.

WHY NAGALAND

The NE Tech Summit event will be held during one of India's largest indigenous festival Hornbill Festival.

The Hornbill Festival has become one of the biggest indigenous festival in the country, a festival so unique that there is none like it in the world. One can experience the vibrant traditional culture of different tribes while also getting rejuvenated by the scenic natural beauty of the place. Lakhs of visitors from around the country and the world visit Kohima during this period turning the entire city into an extremely vibrant and exciting venue. Having the Kickstart NE event during hornbill will enable the resource persons, investors and visitors to contribute towards catalyzing the startup ecosystemn as well as enjoy the Hornbill Festival at the same time!
